PRE-PURCHASE EXAMS
Pre-Purchase Exams
Our pre-purchase exam is a comprehensive evaluation that includes a physical exam, ophthalmic (eye) exam, neurologic assessment, and both static and dynamic musculoskeletal evaluations, including a lameness exam and flexions. We use the Equinosis Q sensors to document and evaluate soundness throughout the lameness exam. Radiographs or ultrasounds may be recommended based on the individual circumstances.
Throughout the process, we carefully assess how well the horse will meet your goals and expectations. We keep you informed of all findings during each stage of the examination and provide a detailed written report within 48 hours. If you need a faster turnaround, just let us know when scheduling, and we will do our best to accommodate your timeline.
We understand that purchase agreements often move quickly, and we are committed to working with your schedule to provide timely evaluations.
Our primary goal is to ensure you have all the information needed to make the most informed decision possible. Based on our findings, we will offer recommendations on whether the horse is likely to meet your needs and fulfill your riding aspirations. A thorough pre-purchase exam is crucial in helping you avoid unexpected issues with your new horse.
We take pride in helping you make confident and well-informed decisions and greatly value the trust you place in us when selecting Forward Equine for your pre-purchase examination.
