**Current COVID-19 Pandemic Response**
We take the health of our community and our clients as seriously as that of our patients. As such, we will be syncing our return to a more normal appointment schedule in conjunction with Governor Evers’ Badger Bounce Back program (link is below). While the Safer-At-Home order continues, we will continue to operate on an emergency and urgent care basis. For appointments that were previously delayed, we have an option for a telemedicine consult with Dr. Peters to determine if your horse needs to be seen before the state transitions to Phase One of the Bounce Back program. Please see the information and links below for specifics and guidance as we all move forwards towards recovery.
The best way to reach us is still the office number: 920-851-3545. If no one answers immediately, please listen to the prompts and press the correct extension for your needs. You can also reach us via email at appointments@forwardequinevet.com.
Instructions for telemedicine submission:
Please use WhatsApp, which can be installed on your phone and/or desktop, as this provides the best quality for video and picture media. You can download the app through the app or google play store. Once installed, you can find us as Forward Equine under the office number: 920-851-3545. For the videos, please send trotting in hand on the straight, directly away and back towards the phone doing the videoing, as well as lunging both directions, with at least 1/2 a lap at the walk, 2 laps at the trot, and 2-3 canter-trot transitions in each direction. Please also email a written description to appointments@forwardequinevet.com of what's going on with your horse, how long it's been going on, and the degree of discomfort you think they are in on a scale of 0-10, with 0 being perfectly normal and 10 being inhumane suffering. Dr. Peters will evaluate all of that information and contact you to discuss further or to schedule an appointment if indicated.
“Full biosecurity” measures include, but are not limited to, the wearing of gloves at all appointments, hand washing/hand sanitizer use as often as possible, disinfecting of commonly touched areas on veterinary vehicle, decontaminating equipment between locations, routine deep cleaning/decontamination of all equipment, vehicle, supplies, etc…
Extra time will be scheduled between appointments at different locations to allow for decontamination procedures. Dedicating extra time for cleaning and decontamination may limit our overall availability; thank you for your patience and understanding as we all work together to keep our communities safe and healthy.
